Help Protect A Key Costa Rica Nesting Beach
Playa Grande, Costa Rica is one of the most important leatherback nesting beaches in the Pacific. The government is considering a downgrade of the status of the national park to allow more hotel development. Help NRDC urge Costa Rica to maintain the park's protections.
Bahamas Outlaws Sea Turtle Fishery!
Several Caribbean nations still maintain legal turtle fisheries, despite the overwhelming research showing their populations dropping. We are happy to report that our colleagues have successfully convinced the government of the Bahamas to outlaw this practice, finally protecting the turtles in their waters. We hope the remaining island nations follow suit!
