Fundraise for Conservation
Students who want to make a concrete contribution to wildlife conservation project have great opportunities to protect endangered sea turtles. Most organizations working to protect nesting beaches are small and can do great things with small amounts of money. SEE Turtles can help make the fundraising experience a fun and educational one that will inspire them to do and learn more. Whether your group wants to use the funds to visit a turtle project or donate the money directly, these resources are fun, environmentally-friendly, and simple.
We can work with teachers and advisors to craft a program to fit your group and the subjects they are learning. We can connect your classroom with schools in other countries near nesting beaches, introduce you to local conservationists, and provide video and images of the turtles and places your group is helping.

Help Save Turtles!
Small amounts of money can go a very long way to protecting sea turtles:
$100 - Adopt a Turtle: This amount covers the cost of protecting one nesting leatherback turtle in Trinidad & Tobago, including researchers, tags, and other equipment.
$300 - Adopt a Researcher: Local residents working with ASTOP in Parismina, Costa Rica earn a living patrolling nesting beaches every night. This amount pays for a researcher to patrol a nesting beach for a month. Your class can meet these dedicated researchers through videos, images, and recorded interviews.
$500 - Adopt a School: We are working with schools in El Salvador to teach local kids about the hawksbills that live along their coasts. This amount pays for a school visit to a turtle project, teaching the kids about turtles while kickstarting a domestic ecotourism industry. Your class can follow these students (through video) on the visit and share information with them about what they learned.
$1,000 - Adopt a Hatchery: In Gandoca, Costa Rica, our partners WIDECAST Latin America move leatherback eggs to a hatchery to protect them from poachers. Hatchlings are released to the sea two months later. Your class can learn about how their hatchery does, see pictures, and watch an interview with a local researcher about how they work.
$5,000 - Adopt a Satellite Tag: A motivated group (or combination of groups) can purchase a satellite transmitter to be placed on a turtle in a key area. The class can then follow the turtle's migration online! Read here about Adelita, a loggerhead tracked across the Pacific ocean.
