No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest sweepstakes.

How to Enter:

To enter the Sweepstakes (the "Contest") visit www.seeturtles.org and sign up your name and email address for the SEE Turtles Enewsletter. Only new subscribers are eligible. Incomplete, corrupted or untimely entries are void and will be disqualified. Entries must be submitted by the individual entrant. All entries become property of SEE Turtles/The Ocean Foundation (or "Sponsor"). Contest begins on March 26th, 2010 and ends on Wednesday, September 15th, 2010.

Prizes:

Grand Prize: 1 Free spot on a trip on a SEE Turtles Tour run by either Baja Expeditions or EcoTeach with a maximum per person cost of $1,800 between November 2010 and December 2011. Airfare is not included. The winner can bring along one other person (only one) at a 20 percent discount on the same trip if there is adequate space. The selected trip must reach the minimum number of passengers for the group (including the winner and any guests). If the minimum number is not reached, the winner will need to choose a different trip.

Runners-Up Prizes: Three randomly selected winners will have their choice of a gift box of Endangered Species Chocolate, a SEE Turtles t-shirt, or a signed copy of the children’s book Chelonia by SEE Turtles co-founder Dr. Wallace J. Nichols.

Winner Selection and Notification:

Winners will be determined via a random drawing of all eligible entries received. All decisions by SEE Turtles in relation to the Contest are final and binding. All entries must be submitted by September 14th, 2010. The drawing shall take place on September 15th, 2010. Winners shall be notified by email within 10 days of the drawing. Winners will have 10 days from the sending date of the winner notification email or mailing of a certified mail to acknowledge receipt of the winner notification. If the prize is not claimed within the 10-day time limit an alternate prize winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries received. The original prize winner will forfeit all rights and have no further rights to any prize nor any claims against SEE Turtles based on the forfeiture of their winnings. Return of prize or winner notification as undeliverable, failure to respond to notification, failure to reach the winner and/or failure to provide required proof of eligibility and release(s) in a timely manner may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner via a random drawing from all eligible entries received. All trip participants, including winners, must provide required paperwork, including liability release form.

Eligibility:

The Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older. Only new email newsletter subscribers are eligible. The prizes are personal to the selected winner and are not assignable to any other person or entity. Employees, officers and directors and their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings and children and those living in the same households) of SEE Turtles, The Ocean Foundation, its affiliates, subsidiaries, consultants, contractors, legal, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, and web site providers/web masters are not eligible to participate. Promotion is void in where prohibited by law.

Prize Limitations:

All travel must be completed by December 31, 2011, with no exceptions. Winners are also responsible for any income or other taxes that may apply. SEE Turtles/The Ocean Foundation shall not be responsible if winner misses his/her chosen trip for any reason. If winner misses his or her scheduled departure the prize shall be forfeited. Prize winners must also execute a limitation of liability releasing SEE Turtles/The Ocean Foundation from any and all liability and/or claims resulting from accident or incident which occurs on the trip or forfeit the prize. Prizes cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred or redeemed for cash. Prizes are nontransferable, and have no cash redemption value. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer.

Taxes and Expenses:

All applicable local, state, airport, departure and federal taxes, if any, will be paid by the winners. These may include income and/or sales taxes based on the retail value of the prizes or transportation or travel taxes. Any and all expenses not specifically listed as covered in these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of and must be paid by the winners.

Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity Release:

Where permitted by law, winners grant SEE Turtles (which grant will be confirmed in writing by winners on request), their subsidiaries, affiliates and those acting pursuant to their authority, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, at any time or times, the winners' names, pictures, city and state of residence and biographical information for promotional purposes without additional consideration. Except where prohibited by law, winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release or forfeit the prize. Failure to comply, or to return any required releases and related documentation, may result in forfeiture of the prize.
