Student Field Trips
There's no more inspiring and engaging way to teach school students about science than by participating in a hands-on conservation project. Students work side-by-side with local researchers on sea turtle nesting beaches and foraging areas, as well as learning about the ecology and cultures of some of the most beautiful places in the world.
We work with quality student travel operators with strong safety records and experience organizing student travel. Our trips are ideal for middle schools, high schools, colleges, and community groups like scouts. We primarily take students to Costa Rica but are now offering the following options as well.
We are now offering student trips to the following destinations, based on the public tours we offer. Contact us at right to get a quote for your group for these trips:
- Cuba Turtle Volunteer Expedition
- Belize Ocean Wildlife Research
- Baja Sea Turtles & Friendly Whales
- Nicaragua Sea Turtle Volunteer Expedition
Choose From These Two Costa Rica Turtle Field Trips
Costa Rica is one of the safest and most biodiverse countries in the world, ideal for student travel. Students can help researchers collect data, protect turtle eggs, participate in nightly beach patrols, or help release hatchlings. School groups can choose from working with leatherback turtles nesting along the Caribbean coast at Estacion Las Tortugas or helping catch green turtles or hawksbills in a bay on the Osa Peninsula.
